The Newest Free To Air FTA Receivers

The Neusat SP 6000 FTA Receiver

Another great new receiver for 2007 in the Neusat SP-6000. The most talked about features with the Neusat is the ability for it to download the latest bin files and fixes without having to be connected to a computer. This This feature works off a new fast USB port allowing you to load your files and bins on a USB memory stick or thumb drive and just plug them into the unit. What a blessing for those of us who must hook their units up their PC's, set com ports, check cables yada yada. This unit automatically searches and detects files off a USB stick and will allow you to install the latest fixes viw the remote.

This receiver is also feature rich with a true hardware Blind Scan feature. With a new 200 Mhz CPU is really shines in the channel scan area and seems to be at the top of its games in this area. We looked at this receiver and were totally impressed with all of the standard features and addons. Definately a hard core FTA users dream.

This unit is truly easy to install. The fast CPU really get the extras features going. The auto tuning feature is slick and the OSD has an exceptional feel to it.

The remote control for this unit is similarily just a nice with easy with good sized buttons making in comfortable in the hand. The button layout is also good by having the most used funtion buttons grouped where they should be grouped and not all over the place.

Confused About How To Use SWM8...I just found out about an SWM8 and what it can do for me. I have a two story house with dish to be mounted on the eve. On the same side of the house on the ground level, there's a cable box with all 6 home runs of cable in it and it's on the outside of a garage wall. I have 3 HR20-700s and will...

Remote control troubleI have an RCA TV (Dish Network HD34-310) hooked up to an HR21-300 using CPNT1 on the back. When I power the system on using the "on" button on the remote, the TV and DVR turn on as expected, but the TV always come on in antenna mode. If I turn them on separately using the "PWR" button and the slide...

Not Receiving Certain HD ChannelsHello, I'm getting a "Searching for satellite signal... (771)" on several HD channels, using the AU9 Slimline Dish. This has happened at various times through the summer and I've been on the roof twice now doing a realignment, but it seems like every time I do it, the dish moves enough that I...

D* asking for phone# on referralAn acquaintance is signing up for D* and tried to use my account number as a referral. The CSR told him they needed the phone number on my account. Dish 301 and Dish 1000Hi guys, Help me if you can. I have a VIP 622 that is on the fritz. It's mine I own it. Dish won't fix it. In the mean time, I have an old 301 that I've pulled out of my closet and I can't get the "check switch" to work. Here is my setup, Dish 1000 pointed at 110, 119, and 129. One Dish...

DirecTV Customer Service, RV topicHi, new member here. Hope this is the right forum for my question. My wife and I are retired and living full time in our motor home. Connecting two TV's to one H20I currently have an H20 connected to my tv on the main floor and I have a coax connection running upstairs to my bedroom (it may run thru a connection in the basement). I'd like to purchase a 2nd HDTV for my room upstairs, is there a way that the H20 can pass that signal to the TV upstairs over the...

HoustonPBS 8.1 Letterbox sometimes/sometimes notAnyone have any contacts at KUHT in Houston? On the OTA HD channel (not one of the SD subchannels) they seem to broadcast some programs in 16:9 and some letterbox 4:3 (basically pillarbox + letterbox). Not really a problem because my 622 can zoom it, but it makes me wonder why? Laziness?
